I have a feeling we aren't gonna see him again. That stuff really frustrates me. I know that the contest is for fun, but how much fun is it when guys just bail on you. It just sucks cause it seems that it happens in every contest that I get in. Anyways, this is still an awesome team and I like our chances. Keep up the good work everybody.
Maybe he has a life outside of hunting? :p I will give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he checks in and let's us know what he's been up too or when he will be in the woods. I am not sure he told us when his season started did he?
I think that'd be a big negative. I'm gonna guess that we don't hear from him anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I learned a long time ago not to argue with a woman! HAHAHAHAHAH!!! Tell your BF to kick it in gear with the trophy photos and the score!!! :p
Well everyone, I am happy I was able to tag my second day. Its been stressful as I think we must have had some winterkill the past two years or so. My best property to turkey hunt usually has 30 birds, this year I think there was 9 or 10. Two gobblers have now been taken off the property. One being a 10 year old from Indiana and the other mine. 7 were hens. You do the math. I have 4 others I will be taking including Alissa who is next up. Hope she keeps shooting that Jewel in the backyard! I have a couple other properties that I can now scout Sunday-Tuesday and try to get a game plan together for her as she only has two days to hunt with me. As for the specs on my bird...remember this is just for fun so nothing is exact. I hope one of you can do the math for me as I am wanting to get some sleep. Get to sleep in tomorrow morning as I gotta work. Up at 5am lol. Beard- 9" Spurs- 1 is 7/8" and the other is 3/4" Weight-20# Good luck to the rest of the team. This bird will be featured in an upcoming episode of Bowhunt or Die. My buddy Josh did a great job as always.
Nice bird Trevor. I get off work in 15 minutes and gotta be back up at 3 to go video my brother in Illinois. It's gonna be a quick nap at best. Good luck to everybody tomorrow.
Well, it was a swing and a miss this morning. Called in 3 gobblers to 15 yards, but they came in at a bad spot and he had to swing and shoot. Didn't work out very well. Well we're headed out to plant some trees this afternoon. I'll keep you guys updated if any birds bite the dust tomorrow.
Sounds like a good hunt even without a harvest. We are now bating 0-2 on a new tract I started hunting this year. We had a single hen come in just after fly down. They didn't seem the slightest bit interested. Around 9 am we had a group of 5 hens enter the decoys. We had heard several gobble close 15 min before. I had my boy get ready and then...... NOTHING. I don't get it. Some time past and we were still hearing gobbles fairly close. For what ever reason a farmer drove his truck down into the timber in front of us. He only stayed down in there 5 min making all kinds or racket. The woods was silent from there on out.
I've been trying since deer season to set up Tapatalk, having all sorts of trouble. Well, today I finally got it!
Hahaha. I know what you mean, and I'm not even that old! My technological IQ is probably quite a bit lower than most. I should probably use tapatalk, but I haven't even tried it yet.
Keep your head up snake! Thanks guys and thanks Heckler for the score. I never worry about a score because my biggest bird is still smaller than Alissa's smallest bird. Some have all the luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
