    Well neighbor put one down with shotgun, the second one was eyeing my decoys from across the creek,he didn't want to stick around after the boom. Still raining, weather changed to about 11am now. Just in time for prime time, hopefully.

    Sorry I have not been I around much. Had a derailment at work (I'm a railroader), so was busy working on that all last weekend. Then I came down with a bad sore throat/head cold so haven't been doing much but resting. As of today I got 10 days before Iowa opener. I'll hunt all day the 14th. Then again on the 18th for a morning hunt. After the hunt gotta haul *** to Illinois to try and put some birds to bed and set up for my buddies Illinois hunt the 19th-20th. Will be filming and calling for him. After that I will be back to Iowa if I haven't tagged a bird on the first 2 hunts then I head to Illinois the 29th-30th for my season. If I happen to tag out early and have the money, I may try for a bird in Missouri also, but don't know if the wife will like me spending another 150 to chase a bird.

    I believe Pearce you have been Voluntold as team captain. How about to pick a name, take the suggestions and put them in a hat and draw one.
    My hunt update: Went out Sat had some some gobbling, the one I was closest to did not want to leave his area. I thinks hes hanging out on the hill on the other property. I may try and get out this afternoon after my retina dr appt today. Still haven't heard much hen activity. I have been seeing more movement on my drive home. Cross my fingers and hopefully put team 5 on the board.
