Looks awesome and looks to have a lot of natural funnels for deer with the narrow tree lines. Scoot

We'll we found two sheds while out and 2 dead heads which sucks, both the dead ones were nice 2.5 year olds with great potential. I'll post pics when I get to my laptop later tonight.

That does suck, wonder if they were yote kills or just disease.

well we just about got all the trees burned form the tree line this weekend. now we just have to get a dozer out to level where the woods line was with the field. we also had an unexpected burst of excitement, at about 9:00pm we were tracking the equipment back to the barn when I saw some headlights in the distance, I thought oh there just on the county rd that goes through the property. But NO the were out in the middle of the farm where we have some standing beans driving in circles, needless to say my dad took off in the ranger and chased them to the end of the road where he took a picture of their license plate and then they finally stopped. they said they were just locals driving around. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! long story short they got caught and got one warning and so now we are putting up a gate ,where they entered the field, this Saturday.

cant wait for the spring gobblers!!

    STUPID TRESPASSERS!!!!!

Darn, That 8 looks like it had some great potential. I would maybe just get it checked as a precaution.. you never know if it was a illness or predator.

Looks great!! I cannot wait to see all of the progress on your projects. I have to ask though, the tree line you are removing....why?? What I see there is a secluded field behind it that would give any big buck the feeling of being unseen, not to mention additional treestand locations.

the main reason is to improve the field for farming $$$$. right now all the crops cash flow for the expenses of the farm. once we get to where it is more stable (finances) we will be able to be more so focused on the deer. And the treeline was causing water to stand in the field.
