Did you go out there during the day? dont they lock up gates at night? We will have to get together and go one time. I just got 8 led lights and have everything ready for the boat just waiting for it to warm up to get everything welded up.
I was actually thinking about it this year. One of my buddies lives up there so I can make him scout it out for me :tu:. Any Idea on where to find everything out about it this year?

Yeah I noticed the website hasn't been updated since 2012. I found some info on the 2013 one a few days ago but nothing on this years.

Colleen Easterbrook is still the contact person. I saw they have a facebook page. I'll see if I can find it again.

I only was there the one year but I have friends who shoot it about every year. They usually find the big numbers of carp in the reeds around the islands. If it's cold, the carp will be burrowed into that stuff. You can jump out of the boat and just walk around and shoot them. I am told they are usually on the windward side of the islands. So if the wind is out of the west... look in the weeds on the west side of the islands. If it's really nice and calm out they might just be out everywhere. If they're actively spawning look any place it's shallow. The water is crystal clear out there, you should be able to spot the carp from a distance.

Watch out for big rocks! (it was stormy so we didn't see until it was too late)

I won't participate this year, obviously because its my first year bowfishing and I want to get some carp under my belt, but it might be something to look into for next year. We're about 2 hours South of Caseville so it would make a nice weekend trip.

Yes but not for the same reason I was asking you about, the screws that came with it were too long for the bow and bottomed out in the riser before the attachment was on tight, I added 2 washers underneath and it fits perfect :)

I could've just used shorter screws but the washers were easier to find :D

Long story about Kensington- we will have to discuss over that beer and burger. :). Let's definitely get together and shoot some fish. I have 6 halogen lights off my old boat if you need more lights.

As for finding out about tourneys - check out BAM Bowfishing ***. Of MI
