Just curious if anyone else going will be shooting the open class? I'd like to, but not going to show up with a full blown target rig if I'm the only one coming.

Also to JZ, will there be a different set of shooting stakes for the open class?

i'm not JZ but I can answer that and no. Because of the way the course is designed and basically shooting out in a big field for safety reasons everyone will be shooting from the same spot regardless of class. I know most shoots do have different stakes but we don't really have the seperation between targets like a wooded course would have.

Matt we created the category because years past we have had people show up with all out target setup's and we never had a class for them and it just caused a lot of problems for everyone. Sure if you show up with it you won't be the only one. You live so close anyways just bring both in case your worried!

Targets will range anywhere from 10 yards to 40 yards, with one target in the 45-50 range.

My question is, did any of these dudes with the full blown target set ups ever win? I know Grassy who got seconds to me back when I won was shooting one but I don't recall ever seeing a winner with one.

No because after that year against you we didn't allow them anymore. We always had people interested in shooting them but we never had a class for it.

I'm not, it could have been fun if some of the better shooters planned on it and there were long stakes setup for it, but I have no interest in being the only guy there with an open class setup.

Don't worry, you won't be. I'm sure there will be a few local shooters who show up and want to roll against the mighty RJ.
