Can you explain what you guys mean when you say single/double bevel? I've heard this before just not sure what it means.
What do they offer weight wise...if I can I want to get a 175gr head but can always make up the difference with inserts I guess if needed. I will be getting their tapered arrows for sure....just haven't decided what single bevel I will grab. Watch some of dr. ashby's videos on single beveled heads and you'll see why they do a lot better than double just by their nature of naturally twisting.
Instead of it being sharpened so it has a grind on both sides of the cutting edge it is jut on one side and then on the other blade it is sharpened on the other side of the blade. That way they create a spiral wound channel and are great at breaking bone Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
They offer many weights from 85-225. Here is the site. http://www.stricklandsarchery.com/WebStore/Products.aspx?cat=8&cookieCheck=true Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Yes I apologize for hijacking the thread, I promise it had something to do with these bows at the start. Tyni of you want to finish this in pM's so we don't continue to hijack his thread Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I may be switching from mathews to bowtech this year..... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
Holy cow thats Mike Hunsucker!!! He is all celebrity now! thats awesome! From the humble HNI days to the big stage!
I've been considering very strongly to switching to Bowtech or Mathews. I think if I had to go with either of the two I'd go with the Carbon Overdrive since I prefer lightweight over speed and plus I'm not big on split limb bows. Bowtech has definitely impressed me over the past couple of years.
I talked to My dealer today and he said that most dealers will be selling the New Bowtech bows for 950 instead of the 999. I am still going to go with the Carbon Knight as my first bow.
Just passin thru - Did you just get the Carbon Overdrive or is that a dealer demo? Do you have any initial impressions about it.
I didn't get it, but I was at the shop when the shipment came into my dealer. I wasn't able to shoot it because they literally pulled it out of the box when I was standing right there so it wasn't set up. First impressions were very good, great feeling bow. I really liked the new Bioshock dampeners they have going on, they looked sweet! I'll be back in the shop next week to shoot that and the RPM 360.
Awesome. I am surprised they are already getting them in. Let us know how they shoot when you get to next week.
The shop I go to is the #2 Bowtech Dealer in the state so they usually get stuff in pretty quick. Will do for sure!
My shop guy has the OverDrive in too. I want to look at it but I will probably go with the Carbon Rose. He said the Rose would be a perfect for for me. I can't wait to get my hands on it on Monday. He noted the camoflauge with purple cams were outrageous. Online pics doesn't do it justice. I want to see them both in black and camo. I think some of these bows are just too big for me though.
I'm kind of curious about you guys talking about shooting heavy arrows at slower speeds. If you calculate overall kinetic energy in an arrow it is pretty uniform for a bow regardless of arrow weight. I'm asking do you really feel that a 425 grain arrow is that superior to a 375 grain arrow? I'm in the light and fast school and I've killed some big animals using those big cut expandables. Looks like some nice bows. Makes me wish I had a bunch of $$$$$ laying around. I just got a new Omen Max.......311 fps with a 450gr maxima red. I'd like to see what people get with the 360.......someone buy one and post some numbers QUICK !!!
