Heck The last 2 Scouts that are black cameras worked perfect and were $99 from camo fire .com.The black flash could not be seen from in front of my face after taking 30 pictures setting it up.lol. Rocky
Nice! Did you look much or did you just stumble across it? I'll start looking on my way into the stand when archery season starts up again on the 20th!
I walked for over 3 hours. It was more of a scouting trip to begin with because I'm checking a 700 acres area that I've never hunted but I plan to hunt this fall. Found a ridgeline just full of scrapes any bedding area right next to it. I will post the picture it laying on the ground in the bedding area. Look like a cattle yard. Awesome! My wife finally talked me into buying another dog. I took the passing of my last lab very hard. We are looking at silver Labradors this go around. I am sure it would make a fine shed dog. Here are some pics of the dogs we are looking at if you haven't ever seen a silver lab before.
Gotta love labs! I plan to get one sometime in the next year (yellow) and will without a doubt be a waterfowl dog but also a shed dog. Numerous times yesterday I thought how great it would be to have a dog with while walking. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Yah, I keep thinking the same. I have the added benefit this time of working from home so I can spend even more time with the new pup then the last one. My last dog would flush and retrieve in the field and was a excellent blind retriever over decoys. I would think training a dog to find sheds would be easier then the other two!
I would sure think so! To me, all that matters in a good dog is the ability to listen. The rest they can either pick up or not but if they listen to commands that goes a long ways. I could send it off to get trained etc., but it's more the companionship for me. Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Well I have done it now. Kids overheard my wife and I talking about a dog. They have already started a list of names and we haven't even bought one yet. Lucy I think I am in trouble! I will say they are pretty creative. Here is what they came up with so far. Ghost Sliver Blade Titan Argenta (RJ) (latin word for silver?) Sterling I may have to have the guys on the forum help if we get one. LOL!
Good luck! I don't have any plans of getting one anytime soon and already have a name picked out too! Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Hahaha! It's nothing fancy but something I've always liked. Nova! Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Don't listen to Art. :p Nothing wrong with a Chevy! My first brand new truck was a Dodge right out of high school. Worst decision I ever made. A true lemon in every way!!! Both cosmetically and mechanically. That and my dads Fords were always in the shop. I was converted to Chevys when I married my wife and have never looked back!
It never made me a difference what I or anyone else ever drives. I always found it laughable about the diehard guys fussing over such things. They all have their pluses and minuses.
Ohh ya I'm all Chevy here! But that isn't why I like the name.ha Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
Well guys... What are you guys seeing on your cams? Time to start looking for sheds or are you going to give it another couple weeks?
