    You got my response. You posted here. You are a critic. That is fine. Not everyone will see eye to eye. Losing my Buck is hard enough and your thoughts are noted.

    No I do not, 130 is beyond where I pull the trigger. At 80 yards I would say yes but practice is required, always. My limit is 110 yards but it would only be on a buck like the one I had here. I have not shot over 110 with my rig and do not think that I would get as hard of a hit beyond 80 yards. My effective range and comfort zone is 80 or less. Once again..practice helps.
    BTW..My friend who dropped his buck at 130 shot FMJ with an 80# bow and practices all the time. His case is remarkable and different than mine.

    Will you be at the get together?

    I practice out to 80, with 63 lbs and excel st's. But it's only to help maintain form.

    Your friends dropped that buck, meaning he spine shot it? So, IMO as well as most on this site, that was an unethical harvest.

    This hunt I got one buck at 50 yards and missed.
    Second buck at 70 yards and missed him to.
    This band of deer came in at a range of 73-120 yards and my buck was hit at 96 second arrow 110 missed.

    That was as close as I could get to these 19+ deer, to many eyes, ears, and noses to move on.

    Your Buck at 12 yards is Outstanding, once again..Great Job!

    There is so much wrong with this statement ...so a big buck is worthwhile of wounding?

    Quit bowhunting and do the animals a favor... or start taking ethical shots...

    Get together? Most likely will have to work, can't say that it will happen.
    You are entitled to your opinion, his harvest occured and the meat fed many.

    Your negativity overwhelms me. I enjoy bowhunting and will quit when I am good and ready. I am certainly not a deer lover. I am a meat eater and intend on taking down the animal for harvest.

    Not unreal, very real, and the shot hit but was a bit forward, I still can not know how he walked. I do not wing arrows, I shoot to kill. As for missing the other two bucks, it happens and I am straight up about it. I need to practice severe downward angle shots more when I can.

    He was probably able to walk because you got minimal penetration at that distance, especially on his shoulder blade.

    So you missed at 50, missed at 70 and felt good about a 96 yard shot because that was as close as you could get? Wonderful. I really think you should spend some time learning how to stalk an animal and save the long distance shooting for 3D targets that do not move. You are doing a disservice to the game you hunt and the other bow hunters you call brethren. You are creating more fuel for the anti-hunting community than the rest of us can diffuse. Please help us by discontinuing taking unethical shots on living animals. Please.

    Yeah but there was a lot of blood on him. Everything looked promising except for the shot being forward...I was
    Certain he would be down where he bedded in the hillside. Through the glass I was dead sure I had him bedded up there but he was not showing any sign of wobbling or staggering around. He might live. I do think it is a miracle he made it so far and he is tough. If the shot was back more or in the body I know I would have got him. ..... I was so ready for the pack out and he would have taken me at least two or so trips. .. I picked a spot and did not want to gut shoot this one, .. miracle buck.

    You are way off base here. Review the facts.
    3 bucks
    2 clean misses
    1 forward shot that hit with a follow up arrow that was a clean miss.
    This hunt and in the following days I was in mule deer and white tails. My stalking is fine. Thank you.

    Edit:
    BTW I paid for the tag and the license. Keep this in mind.
