Muddy....meh. I have a Muddy stand and sticks, but the sticks are about all I really love. Prefer my summit raptor to my muddy stand. Nothing wrong with the stand, but Summit is just better. Lighter, cheaper, and more comfortable. My buddy sat my Summit one day and he was like "dude, it is like sitting in an asshammock (as I had previously told him.) How do you not fall asleep?" And I replied "why do you think I don't shoot any bruisers!" (it's his property we hunt)

Per the Ballistic - my cousin shot my Ballistic side by side w/ his Chill. He was not amused he spent $500 more on the Chill. Not that he doesn't love his bow. He just didn't like to be reminded he could have bought 2 Ballistics for his 1 Chill.

I would also like to see a review on any new major name broadheads.

Id like to see a review on the High Country X 10 split limb and Xtreme. I know most of you are Mathews guys but High Country was quite the bow back in the day. I shot the Xtreme and was impressed. Would like to know your thoughts on their new 2014 line.

    Thanks
    Dan

My long time hunting buddy Shaun Bradley is one of the owners of Krooked Oak Treestands. It's a pretty neat design. The idea cam about from a lease we had in NW Oklahoma and all we had were giant, crooked cottonwood trees to hang in.

Will Shaun be at the Monster Buck Classic in Kansas at the end of Jan. I see Krooked Oak Treestands is on the exhibitor list. I was looking at their website. I would be sold already if it had a seat and platform leveler so it could be leveled on both axis.

That seat design looks better then the stock one on the Alpha & Assault II. I see they went away with the cast aluminum platform. I presume this is where the cost savings is.... And it would appear you can use both the offset bracket and the EZ hang hook at the same time on this model? 30x19.5 platform is a half inch bigger then the Alpha. Under 14 lbs.? . I'm interested!

Looks like a Muddy platform, which is a good thing..solid and quite.

Quietness would be the reason I wouldn't buy it. No welded tube frame stand can beat the cast platform in cold weather. I like the looks though. May still try one, but only after I but another Alpha or two :tu:

In the cold & snow, my LW's are at least twice as quiet as any hollow tube I've ever owned or sat in. Especially if you have snow in your boots.
