I wish I lived ^^^ were the fishing is still good and the lakes aren't completely over fished. I would love to be able to fish near the house at a lake and have a good chance to catch walleye on a regular basis.

It rarely stays cold enough long enough here in southern Indiana for the ice to get thick enough to ice fish! I love ice fishing but am just fine with it not staying cold long enough ;)

I have a confession to make. I have traded my bow for an ice rod for the winter. It seems this year I am better with that than I am with the bow. Here is 30 minutes worth in the shack on 18" of ice.

Good luck TAuth. Minnetonka??? I lived in Delano for three years and used to fish Whaletale Lake by St. Boni for slab crappies. Good fishing around there.

Yep I live in Minnetonka and hunt in WI. A good family friend slay the slabs at Whaletail every year! Our cabin is in Evansville, MN. 30 minutes from Alexandria. Also know some people who catch nice crappies around Delano.

You bet. I have had real nice ice fishing gear numerous shacks marcums and such but I've never had a nice auger so I put my gift cards from Christmas towards this and spoiled myself

Jiffys are great augers. Still running my 7+ year old gas model that I received from a relative who upgraded.

My next auger is going to be a propane, I thought about getting the ION but I can just see the battery running out mid-drill. Keeping a spare battery in sub zero temps also doesn't guarantee it will work
