hey guys. im new to the forum but i bought a creed xs about 3 weeks ago and have been having trouble witht the brace height on it. after shooting it the first time i noticed it was making a loud creeking noise so i took it back and they realized the brace height wasnt right. after fixing that shooting it for awhile i noticed the creek was back. anyone else having this problem? thanks!

Was the brace height the only thing out of whack? What about a-t-a length?

Not sure what the brace height would have to do with a creaking noise? Is it happening the entire time you draw the bow back? Only near the end of the draw? When you shoot? I few more details would certainly help.

Try and determine where the noise is coming from (draw slowly and have someone listen).... Limb pockets, limbs, cams/axles, etc. I've even seen peep sites emit creaking sounds - especially metal ones....

    1.5 hours?

I just checked on the Mathews website and typed in a 19122 zip which is pretty much dead center of Philly.

There were 5 dealers less than 30 miles away.

I can drive to Philly in 2.5 hours and that's 120 miles. Done it for my job quite a bit.

You're not taking the Schuylkill Expressway? ;)

Make the trip to Lancaster Archery and they'll get you straightened out.
    It's 1.5 hours from Philly.

When i took it back the first time they said since the brace height was out of whack the cable was popping out of the roller guard. after the set the brace height back to the 7 and a half inches the noise stopped. after shooting awhile it was still fine. brought it out today and noticed the noise was back. i havent got a chance to go back up again to get it checked out the second time....It only happens when it hits the let off point. every single time. i bought it from lancaster archery and thats were i took the first time.

this is where im more than confused. how do you change the brace height of the bow? you cant! makes me nervous in regards to a manufacturer defect. Like Fitz said also, is the ATA on the bow up to spec? Have you measured the brace height and is that up to spec also? I'd personally not be a happy camper and ask for a new bow, but thats just me.

Lancaster Archery told me that the brace height was not right and that they changed it back. Maybe they meant the ATA instead but im not sure. Im going back up there this weekend and plan on asking for a new one. shouldn't have this much trouble with such a new bow

I didn't think brace height could change either. I would not be happy!

I've heard they are having issues with the plastic bushings? If one of them is broken it can be loud. Might want to check it out when you take it in.

Is your bow maxed out? If it is not, max it out and see if it still creaks
