Don't get down on yourself fuzz. It can all change in 30 seconds. Quick story....

I went out two days ago and this was my day. Slept through my alarm. When grabbing my bow I noticed an arrow in my first spot of my quiver was gone because the holder is wearing out and it came out somewhere during my last hunt. Got lost on the way into my tree and didn't find it until daybreak soaked with sweat. When I got up into my tree I realized I forgot my hangers for my bow and my pack. Started to pull said bow and pack up and my rope broke. Luckily they were only 5' off the ground. After I finally got settled I strapped on my release to find that the screw used to adjust the length came out and the jaw section was missing. Luckily I had an old spare in my pack. Sat all day and didnt see anything but a 4pt and a few doe right at dark.

The next morning I was in my stand all of 30 mins. I gave a few grunts and a min later I saw a buck 30 yds out. He came into 12yds before I put one through the boiler room. This happened yesterday. I'll post pics soon but won't be able to get the score up until prob next week as I'm leaving for Ohio tom. He's a ten point. I'd say prob 105" if I had to guess but I'm not the best guesser.

Good luck to all you guys. Things can turn around in a hurry this time of the year..

Saw a big ten this morning. I watched him go into the bedding area at about 9:30am. When he gets out he should come my way into the fresh cut corn. Been in the blind since 1pm

Nice bucks men. Hopefully as the rut kicks in I'll get a shot at some of the more nocturnal bucks around me. If not freezers still plenty full. Not bad for having a newborn!
