    5 bears right where i hunt. 2 cubs, a mom and 2 big ones. scares the living crap out of me.

    Don't be scared. Carry a can of Bear Mace and you will be fine.

    Find a slow running partner to hunt with. You don't necessarily have to like him.

    Till then, I'd just be a bit noisy walking in before daylight.

    Black bears shouldn't cause you much problem. Just don't get between momma and the cubs.

    Black bears are virtually harmless. There's no need to carry bear spray or a sidearm when in the black bear woods. They're not grizzlys. If people actually understood black bears, they wouldn't fear them at all.
