I'm not a matthews fan at all but I will give them plenty of credit on there products when it comes to bows it is 100% preference as it's all in how it feels in your hand! I will say this about bows pse,Hoyt, bear have been making bows for a very long time I read someone's post that matthews is number one in sales yes it may be the case but don't forget about high country bows they where a big hit when the first came out, alpine was big at first they fell off I'm not saying matthews will fall off but the bigger bow company's haven't been around as long as the have because of a fad they have made it by making great bows and upgrading there technology! FYI bear has some old matthews employees working for them and there product had improved tons in last couple years!

You have a good point there. I have only been bowhunting for 3 years now, and I will admit I still have some learning to do. For me, I wasn't even able to draw the chill (I am pretty sure it was the same weight or just 2# heavier than my z7). Once I lowered the weight it shot really nice, but I wouldn't swap the two. That said you have shot a lot more deer and a lot bigger deer than me, so maybe I should take some more notes. Hope to see you shoot a big one this year.

I'm just hoping mathews goes away from the plastic limb pockets this year.

What plastic pockets? Mathews pockets are all machined aluminum, with teflon inserts for less friction at pivot points. The only plastic pockets coming from the Mathews factory are on the Mission line of bows

That's great they are a Christian company not many of them out there but I don't buy fad bows although they have put out some good bows hope they don't go away like some of the other fad bows since matthews making good stuff forces the company's who have made bows for 75+ years to stay on there toes

Exactly what there limbs are rested on Is a plastic. Reason being about 3 or 5 years ago they did the same thing with there one competion bow which I can't recall. But they lost some shooters for that reason your more consistent on alluminum or metal or what ever is solid somethig that cant wear out. I know I shoot mathews, but on Hoyt's they have nothing plastic in there pockets.

Not much longer now guys! I'm going to get a new bow this year and I really like the local bow shop here and they sell Mathews so that's probably what it will be! Anyone heard any I go on the 2014 bows yet?

Why wait? If your already leaning in that direction, get er done. The difference between 2013 & 2014 nothing more than a time stamp. Looking back the "new" models are not radically different.

    Get shootin'

Man, I'd like to. But I'd hate to switch mid season. Because I would HAVE to use it if I bought it! Ha

All the more reason why you should wait. Buy a closeout 2013 bow when the 14s are on the shelf. :) Or buy a 2014! :p

Once the 2014's come out if there is nothing I like the price of the 2013 will drop even more. Right now the shop has the Creed at 799 so I can see the price drop a little more.
