No I never have but my battery going dead is a problem. I think a cheaper solution is to buy an extra battery. They're less than $15 on Amazon.

You basically charge up the charger, then charger your phone off of the charger. Most work for 2-3 charges to give you pretty much a full day of usage out of your phone.

I don't use my phone enough on stand to need one and I can't do all day sits so I've never bought one.

Lastoneout bought one yesterday he said, I'm currently looking at them this second. I will have one by the end of the month, just trying to decide which one.

Can't do that with an I-phone. You can't get the battery out even. If you want to change the battery you have to take it into an authorized service center.

I have this exact one and it works great. Take a while to charge at night (5-6 hours on a 1.5V charger) but I can get about 2 full charges on my iPhone 4S out of it. Comes in handy on those all day sits, that's for sure.

I used to have an Energizer one that took AA batteries which was pretty handy, but the cost of putting batteries in it all the time finally got too annoying. I would use tham all in my trail cameras and have none left for my phone. :D

I have one from New Trent (The best iphone external battery, ipad external battery and ipad battery pack online ! | NewTrent.com) and it works great. I can get 4 or more full charges out of it.

My particular model is the IMP52D seen here:

Though, they do have some newer models, and if I was going to get one today, I'd look hard at this one: New Trent PowerPak Xtreme NT120R, iPhone External Portable Rugged battery pack, Android Portable Rugged External Battery, Tablet iPad Battery | NewTrent.com

I've been patiently waiting for the Nectar Fuel Cell charger to be available. It is truly a break through in technology. It's very small, runs off butane and a single cell will provide up to two weeks worth of power.

May be the coolest new gizmo I have seen in a long time. Check it out!

I just bought one from Best Buy for my iPhone and iPad. It has a lightning plug in, a micro USB, and a regular USB port so you can charge anything with a standard USB cable. I don't know what it's called, but it was like $80ish. Has been working great for charging both devices at once.

Yep! I have two similar to that that also double as 2G memory sticks. I have adaptors for my iPhone and my GoPro, they are great!

My son had the charging case for his iPhone. It seemed to work really well for him.

My battery last all day on my note 2 so I've never needed one.
