Well this weekend was a bust for me didnt see anything. I bumbed one deer on my way out at dark this evening and that was it. ill be out this week on and off for evening hunts. Ditto
Just got back from Missouri last night fellas. I came home empty handed but had a great time. I actually did shoot a good buck but he jumped the string and I hit him just below the spine in the dead area. We let him set over night and then began our grid search the next day. We searched all day and didn't find much blood or any sign of him bedded up anywhere. The arrow was clean outside of a little meat in the broadhead and a spec of blood on the vanes. It did not smell like guts. We did a grid search and walked circles searching the area of the quarter section he went towards and found nothing. Empty feeling but a buddy of mine put it in perspective for me by reminded me that if you hunt for long enough this will happen. It is disappointing but I am confident that he will survive and be a bigger better deer next year. Still disappointing though. Back at it here in Kansas though and hopefully will get something done in the coming weeks.

Congrats to the guys who knocked down some nannies this weekend! Tough luck for you Kansas, but it sounds like the deer will live and you still have plenty of season in front of you. I hunted all weekend and was able to get a doe down on Saturday night. I was self filming and made an awful shot on her. Not sure what happened but hit her high and back. Killzone ripped her up though and she only made it 150yds. I heard her crash. I'm on my way to enter her into the scoresheet now... Keep swinging boys, lots of season ahead of us!
Congrats on the does!!! That should put us at 200 pts!! A couple more does yet would be awesome and bring on the bucks, couple more weeks and ill be at er for 2 solid weeks for my vacation
i also will be taking about a week and a half off in november, the 8th-17th hopefully ill tag one of the deer on my list, jack!!!!
I will be hunting tomorrow and this weekend through Monday. I am headed to Kentucky for five days to chase some so hopefully I will have better luck and help this team out! Good luck everyone!
