Has anybody had any problems with Wildgame Innovations cameras not actually working? I've noticed sometimes right after setting it up that the camera "should" be set and active but yet the sensor doesn't activate nor does it take pictures. And, sometimes I'll have two dozen pictures of deer in one day and none for a week (I know this could be the deer movement). I'm new to trail cameras this year so any advice on this particular product would be helpful. (The camera is set to PIR mode 24hr with a 30 second delay; batteries are brand new and a 4GB SD card empty)

I had an issue with a WGI cam a couple years ago. I contacted the company, sent it in and they sent back a new camera.

I've had 4 and issues with all of them. White pics, black pics, no flash, eating batteries, you name it. I've had so many issues I think I left one on a tree last year actually.

Covert Trail Cameras hands down. It sounds like the MPE5 would be perfect for you with your settings. And if not I highly recommend the MP6 or Red 40. You can't go wrong with any of them!

I've used Bushnell trophy cams for the last few years with pretty good success. The only issue I've had with them is that i had ants get in to one and it's been a little temperamental since but still takes pics. Depending on the model they are around $200. This year I picked up a Moultrie 880 and I really like it so far. I've got around 2000 pictures on it with no problems yet. They retail around me for $119 or so. Both cams have a time lapse feature I like a lot and great night time range. Hope this helps!

I have all the Coverts above and a WGI cam and I 100% agree with this ...
