i would not a fawn needs all the help it can get out there in the woods

 

Fawns are always the first winterkill. We take all we can except nubbies.

 

I have no problem shooting the doe.

 

I wouldn't because I would hate to take its mother away. I know by hunting season they can handel them selves but its in my head and I couldn't allow myself.

 

It's a toss up whether I would shoot the mom or the fawn.

what if the does have been bread by a huge buck??? You should shoot your does in the early season.

 

Antler size comes from monks mostly ...or so they say

 

I have plenty of does around so im not to worried about that... I have shot a few does during the early season. Just not with fawns.
