Unless someone else grabbed them, we get the last two alternates. How sad is that, alternates need alternates?

Right? Not only did they miss initial contest startup, but the alternate stuff too? Lol. I think fitz will let us know alternates when he gets a chance.

Only reason i didnt sign up in the first place was because my post count wasnt high enough. Oh well, just means the rest of us need to hunt harder. Last i saw from the trail cams, I might be putting up some big #s, couple bruisers walking around my grounds.:woot:

Yeah, I got a new bow and wasn't sure I'd be ready for the season. Wanted to make sure I could shoot well.

Dont have any pics from this year, but last year and the year before, dad and i both had an encounter with a massive 12 point during shotgun season but didn't have any buck tags left. Haven't had two second free since April to go hang cameras.

Fresh brush on the shack today )new camo on the inside . Season opened today in Missouri, still just to warm for me to enjoy. Pulled card by the blind, and I must say .. It leaves a lot to be desired (
New crops this year may be pulling deer away from my plots. Sold all cows this year and turned around 300 acres of grass to soy beans.
Last year had several 2 1/2 year olds and one or two older bucks . Lots of potential from this spot ( family farm)
Hung a new cam closer to the beans, just to prove to myself ..deer still reside here)
May have to go whack a Turk, just to get some bloody Fletches .

Well, Wisconsin opener was this weekend. I wasn't able to get out. Woke up Saturday sicker than a dog, and didn't feel all that well on Sunday either. Hoping to get out this coming weekend.

Two weeks to go for me. I'll probably focus on getting a few does down early before hunting my prime buck territory a little later in October. No use pressuring the bucks when they are still largely nocturnal. Not really getting daytime pics of anything but spikes right now

Boy, we are having some bad luck getting people to participate with this team. Still haven't heard from the 2 alternates we were assigned.

Well I would drop him, but this is my first year in bow. So think what you will, he looks good to me. Competition-wise I have no experience there, so he could be dead last for all I know.

Hard to tell from pics.. They are always slot bigger or smaller.
I like to decide thru my peep site..
There are a lot better deer in the area, with all the new soy beans, should be several bucks to choose from.. In theory ;)
