my dad loves to duck hunt but it seems like every time he goes its a perfect time to be in a tree lol

welcome newbie2012! this is the first deer contest for me too, but i was in the turkey contest and i have been bow hunting for 5 years now

 

Welcome aboard newbie2012. This is going to be the longest month of the year. I did a lot of shooting over the weekend I sent a few out at 50 yards

 

Don't get disheartened during the "October Duldrums". It can be a slack time of year.

october cant get here soon enough! im having to drive a hour to work for training and it is killin me. im hoping tomorrow i can go to verizon and see how much it is gonna cost me to have and set up a smart phone so hopefully by the weekend i will have one and can be more active with taptalk like many others on the forum.

 

Thanks! We still have a long way to go and A LOT more training ahead of us. Normally I would be hunting KY right now but with the pup around my focus has been to get on birds for him. We are headed up to Lake Erie on Monday for a teal shoot so hopefully he'll get some more feathers in his mouth.

 

Sounds like some fun. I cant wait to start waterfowl hunting and get a lab. Let us know how it goes.

Mwmike just checking in.I have a few bucks on cam but nothing giant so far. My wife is going to hunt this year so i have been busy getting double stand sights set up. I got my first black bear on camera yesterday. Good luck everyone.

Well I went and hung a stand on my favorite property today. The early urban season starts on Saturday. Now here's the weird part for this county, from Sept 7 until Oct 5 there's a antlerless firearms season and Blaze Orange must be worn. From Oct 5-Nov 15 is Archery season, no Blaze Orange. From Nov 15- Jan 4 gun season Blaze Orange again. From Jan 4 - April 29 no Blaze Orange!

Is that CLEAR AS MUD or what???

Good luck with that mike! When i get married i'm hoping to get her into hunting and fishing.

 

I hope to be in the tree by 2:00 PM tomorrow. I've been catching a lot of does on camera... I'll probably see all bucks because its antlerless only right now.

hey its been a while i finnaly got a day off so i will be checkin cams today about noon anyone on here use tapatalk for andriod? there is so many of them and i dont know which one it is lol
