I put a camera out last week and I want to check it now but it's too early. It is raining out so it would probably be a good time to do it.

Inglis Florida was the town I went to.
Well boys I'm sitting the first set for bear. Man it's too to be back. Unfortunately bears are coming to a stand that I needed to bring a chair for a man made platform. This chair is a three legged thing and is about as comfortable as sitting on fire.

    Hopefully get some luck.

Just got back from checking the camera I put out last weekend and I got several pics of this big boy! Liking what I'm seeing on the new property!

We had a little bit of rain this morning....enough to give my beans and milo a bit of a drink...the food plots look okay anyway..they don't need to produce a whole lot to be useful....unlike my beans and milo, lol.

We're starting to see some hogs up here in KS and MO too. Have confirmed populations in both Bourbon county KS and Cedar county MO now.

    @ Oklabowyer
I'm sorry for the way things went i nthe thread of yours "Dream coming true" I never thought my comments would be taken so offensively to a few people on a deer hunting forum that promotes managment etc... I don't think anything I said or did was out of line but if I'm indeed a d.ouche....then I appologize at least for bringing any controversy to your thread.

No offense taken here. I share your opinion on working hard to give back to the land and production of wildlife on property. As a matter of fact I've practiced those beliefs on public land and on my lease before I obtained this property. Its just something I believe in. I also understand those that don't necessarily care about killing large animals whether deer Turkey or anything else and I'm totally ok with that too. I did my homework before I bought this property because I wanted access to land that was surrounded by large (at least for our area( tracts of land that had qdma a practices being implemented on them therefore allowing me the opportunity to harvest mature animals year after year while only owning a small piece of land myself. I think I found the right piece. I plan on planting plots as soon as I hunt this season on this new property so I be sure I put them in the right spot. Anyway no offense taken. I value your opinion and thanks for sharing it.

You're welcome and thank you for being such a stand up and respectable guy.

Yeah...I can still respect folks tha tdon't practice QDMA or any management for that matter. There are others around that refuse to join in the local managment deal and thats fine. This one neighbor though goes far beyond that, completely ignoring any edicate at all or even being a respectable person for that matter....just so annoying. Above and beyond that though was getting attacked in the thread for my comments...sheesh. Then to have a couple guys revive the whole thing tonight and throw barbs at me again was just more than I could ignore...
Anyway I'm tickled you found exactly what you wanted and needed and have the atittude you do. Your neighbors are lucky you bought that place!

Put in two last minute food plots over the weekend and hung a stand. Time to let it all rest before season. Hoping to get out Sept 21-22 and knock down a doe during this early antlerless firearm season.

Looks like a pretty big boar to me. Most of the hogs we've got average between 100-150 but every now and then you'll see one bigger.
