No but my uncle owns 21 acres, that we prepare all summer long and then hunt come fall. Its a nice piece of land but there is just too many hunters around it.

Hunting land is getting harder and harder to find in Michigan. Well its like that everywhere but its getting bad by me. Im fortunate enough to own some land and know quite a few people who own land and dont bow hunt. Its not the best land out there but I make it work.

That sucks JPT. It can be pretty hard to find something to hunt now. Is there any public you can hit to supplement?

Yeah Michigan is getting tough to hunt these days. Hopefully a 2014 APR will change that. I'm actually thinking about going to college/moving to a different state in a couple of years. Hunting is one thing I truly love doing so why not live somewhere where I can do it well/more efficiently? Only time will tell though, I love Michigan, if we didn't have as many hunters I would stay here no doubt.

Yeah my dad did quite a bit of searching earlier and found some pieces of public land that we are going to try out. Hopefully there are some good bucks lurking around, but again the issue about the number of hunters in Michigan comes back up! IMO we really need an APR to go into effect.

My dad and I own 120 acres in Osceola county. They just passed 3 points or more on one side. A few other counties did also. Which i think its going to help a lot. Theres some big bucks up there but a lot of people shoot spikes and 4 pts.

I got all my broadheads mounted and spin tested last night with a Nockturnal mounted on. In the quiver they went. 60% of my clothes is washed and hanging outside to dry. Just another step closer. 10 days to go!

My season starts the 21st. Cant wait till then. We've been having a giant 155" 8 point show up during day light hours and some other 120" bucks too. Have had more does than ever this year, so plan on shooting one too. Wish me luck.

No bucks the last card pull, but a ridiculous amount of does. Got 1028 pics in 6 days, 659 of which being deer. Hopefully I can get one down early and then focus on a public land / rut buck. With the amount of does we are getting on camera I might have myself a little rut honey hole.

Season opens Saturday and the initial forecast was for upper 70's low 80's, that has changed and looks like its going to be a hot weekend with temps pushing 90.

LOL My buddy keeps sending me pics from our lease in KY and all we are getting is the 2 1/2 year olds. Hopefully the older ones show up soon since the season opener is sat.
