LOL I know, I think it was the big boy in the 3rd pic...judging by the time stamps and that there was only 3. He would be the third. I dunno, still have to have them show up during bow season to make this legit :/

There is property I hunt down in southwest Indiana. The property itself is 380 acres, but it borders thousands of acres of state land, so really, it doesn't matter where I go. The only catch is the owner is a guy I work with. His in-laws hunt it. When they hunt there, I don't. However, being on government land and just using his as parking may be a different story.
I haven't been able to get there to scout ths year.. but last year I had a few big boys on cam... The last pic, the booner in the corner does have a drop tine. He's massive, but extremely elusive.

Well I only see them on cam here! lol

The problem is that spot is an hour and half away. I'm kind of hoping to pull a 130+ from the woods behind my house simply out of spite of the neighboring farm allowing it's employees to hunt. That's the beauty of bow season, they only gun hunt.

How about your trip to Nebraska Jared? How is that coming along? Hopefully you see some might giants out there.
I was supposed to go to North Dakota this year but it was nearly impossible to get tags. Unfortunate, but I took the fam to Florida so next year I can go!

Way to sacrifice this year for next! Mans gotta do what hes gotta do.

There are 5 of us heading out to the Fairbury NE area, right on the Kansas borner. A friend of ours owns about 750 acres...went out and scouted about 3 weeks ago. 1/2 of that looks good and huntable, the rest not. We then talked to the farmer who tills our friends land, and got permission to hunt another 1200 or so acres...which looks dynamite! Didn't have time to scout that but it really looks awesome. Scored another 200 or so acres while at dinner making friends with a local guy, so this trip should be fun! Gifted them all hand picked blueberries from MI.

Being as it is our first run out there, we have high hopes but understand this will be challenging. The land definitely looks promising! I have a camera I left out there that I will not be able to check until we are there in early NOV. Anxious is the best word....

Man that is awesome! Farmers are great scouts. That's pretty cool you have it set up for long term. Takes a lot of the pressure off. It would be sweet to double up on bucks this year. Better save up for the taxidermy bill!

    Is that to me?
Major nocturnal shift doesn't generally happen here until a couple weeks before Nov firearms opener in MO, of course KS firearms opens later. So I generally see a transition starting the end of October here. I always contrinuted it not to the deer knowing firearms season start date but to increased hunter scent in places that deer don't typically encounter it. Deer don't mind human scent...they just don't like it where it's unusual. I have deer around my house every night but they expect scent to be here, I go trouncing around down in the brush and it'll spook the crap out of them. I think all the folks out and about prepping for season pushes them nocturnal. I always felt it had more to do with that than anything.

I'm also good with Indynotch for captain.

    Team Passthrough?

    Ohhh ohh oh...Team Mineral Lick
    Team Smack Daddies
    FPS Groupies
    Corn Sqeezins or
Team White Lightnin <----(I like this one)

Hey Brent, I agree, too much movement through the day for the bucks to be out during the day.

What about the name: red red red red rednecks

I think passthroughs was taken a few years ago.

I still like racknasties and white lightnin too
