    This is a contest to see who spends the most time in the woods to see who is the most dedicated.
    Just post roughly how many hours/minutes you've spent hunting and we can tally up the results at the end of the year. Plus it's kind of neat to see how many hours we spend in a year, from preparation to the time we put hands on horns. The following are valid inputs for time additions. Any suggestions please feel free to comment.

    * Time Spent Checking Trail Cameras
    * Time Spent Practicing Shooting
    * Planting Food Plots
    * Time in the Stand
    * Time Tracking

    I'm hoping for less time hunting this year, and more time dragging :tu:

    Ummmmm.... I started to reply and then realized my wife was standing over my shoulder. I didn't kill a buck so I didn't hunt enough.

    Maybe it would be easier to keep track of the time I'm not doing something to prepare for hunting lol ;)

    To specify who is most dedicated by mere hours spent in the field is sheer poppycock (always wanted to use that word haha!) in my opinion. Sure I put in a ton of hours, but does it make me more dedicated...nope. It's how efficient one is with their time, how masterful they are with their time. Who capitalizes with their time the most because they make sure to hunt the proper stands on given conditions (moon, prevailing wind, food sources, water sources, pre and post dawn winds, temperatures, breeding time, other hunting pressure...). "If" I kill a buck opening day, or the last day, the same dedication is present inside of me...and I'd bet same can be said for many of us guys here...I just hope for my family's sake I have a season where I'm not still chasing a buck late season as I know I struggle to keep priorities in perspective.

    I do love the idea though as a cool thing to share, and sadly I'll admit I hunted way to many hours last year (tons of all day sits)...and hope to not have to hunt nearly as hard before I use my buck tag this season.

    Only thing I'd add is time "Commuting" for me it's 1.5 hours each way to my spot in Wisconsin... adds up.
