I like the Cardinals, but I think that I would despise the Cubs no matter what team I cheered for.

Yeah I feel it! I'm running out of stuff to "fix" on my truck  Gonna have to start finding other stuff to tinker with to keep my mind busy. I guess I could whip up my deer show booth this week :)

Did a camera check today, but there wasn't whole lot on it. Only one buck worth consideration and I think he's a 3.5 year old. He was a nice young ten with some long brow tines, probably would go in the low 130's. He will be getting a pass if he comes by me. He needs at least one more year, maybe two. I'll post some pics tomorrow if I get the chance, I don't have the card right now.

For any of you who followed my hunting log last year knows at the Swamp Property we have great potential for awesome bucks with the surrounding acreage and un-huntable swamp that is owned by the state bordering it...however we had to deal with sharing a small portion of the property with other bowhunters who didn't pay attention to wind or proper entrance and exit strategies or anything really...well then it would get worse when we'd have to pull out for Gun season and the army would hit. The gun hunters are not the kind of the same approach either. Driving Jeeps (yes jeeps) through the woods and gators to the field edges, parking and hunting feet away from them....

Well the good news is if the owner does what he's discussed with us, it is my father and I only in bow season and the owner and brother in law come gun season...that's it. This should assist our bow season greatly not having interference ran by other hunters during bow season..

What this means TJ and Cole for you guys is.....our odds just went up even more to knock down you Kansas fellas!

Good luck man. That's so frustrating once that sea of orange hits and everything you worked so hard for seems to go out the window. It drives me crazy to put in so much work and have it ruined within hours of the opening of gun season.

Well, this weekend will see the last stand placements at the swamp property and last camera camera pulls probably till week before opener (Oct. 1st). They are murdering the beans on this one corner of the field and cannot wait to see what is approaching based on the tracks I backtracked it's either one of big boys we chased last year or a doe that freaking must be a keg with legs as deeps as the prints were in hard ground. will let you guys know.

I checked my one working camera again the other day and of course had tons of pics of the same 3.5 year old 10 point. He is gonna be a freakin stud in a couple years. I also got my first covert cam the other day and put it out when I checked my moultrie. Hoping for some good pics from it.
