I know this is an old thread, but thought i'd bring it up again, rather than start a new one! I like how you guys have success pics at the end of the show...what about a weekly 2 minute or under success self filmed hunt? like using a iphone, or entry level camera?
just a thought, love the show already...just trying to be a star myself!!:nana:

As a beginning bowhunter, I think that it would be a benefit to have a small "tech talk" or "hunting tips" segment where you would answer questions as far as set ups, paper tuning, sight adjustments, etc. I know that I did a lot of youtube-ing when doing the set up on my old rig and my Encounter.

Thinking of the options today, what about anyone on the site can turn in a video. The pro staff can make rules as in every video must have your face, an intro in the stand of who you are where you are and why you chose to hunt where you are that hunt. Also included a kill shot and recovery. They can go through them and run a special members highlight video to BHOD. Then the pro staff can do tech talk and tips based on the videos sent in by amateurs, maybe talk about mistakes made or how they could have done better.

I like to think so, but I am not sure how many of the team is driving around a 200,000+ mile truck, hunting public land the majority of the time and are mostly weekend warriors like me! The brief summary of each team member during the BHOD shows is good, but I would like to hear a little more about the people and where they are hunting. Most of the team seems to have their own property or leases that they are allowed to plant food plots. Just my $0.02!

I think you'd be surprised. Yes, we've got a few guys on the team who do well for themselves and maybe have some property to hunt but they're by no means rich and famous. I know for a fact that Josh Fletcher hunts public ground in Wisconsin quite a bit and Clinton drives a pretty killer Escort to work every day. Just about everyone on the team has an 8-5, M-F job and hunts predominantly weekends. Big Deal Neal drives a foreign car with an Obama sticker on the back and enjoys wearing sweaters with embroidered ducks on them. That's keepin' it real.

Of the 30-ish guys on the team there's only 5 or 6 that own ground, and in many cases it belongs to their parents/grandparents. Yes, some of us lease but these aren't thousands of acres of ground like you may think. The past 2 years I've hunted almost exclusively on a 100 acre lease with 3 other guys. We are not allowed to plant food plots either. This is the first year in my 20+ years of hunting I'll be able to hunt over a food plot on a lease, and that's assuming anything grows. We need rain!

Anywho, I believe it's pretty safe to say that most guys on our team are a fair representation of the average bowhunter who is addicted to chasing whitetails. Some many have better spots than others but one thing that binds us all together is the desire to kill stuff with our bows.

This was a great synopsis of your team, Justin. I think most of us on the outside view you all as real celebrities with all the fixins ... but in truth, you are all like us that dedicate yourselves to producing a great product ...total RESPECT from me :tu:

If I ever even come close to celeb statis, someone please slap me  My Jeep has 150,000 miles on it, I do have a lease but don't plant food plots, Its 800 acres of HUGH woods with just a couple crop fields connected. Its old strip mine ground and believe me I have to work my butt off and put in some major stand time trying to get on a Buck That will make me happy! You have to remember guys, (Rizzo) It seems like shooting a good buck on vid is quick and easy, In reality its not, I hunt just as hard as anyone, anything I kill is earned! Plus trying to self film and pack the gear is even more work. Even if I lost my lease and had public ground to hunt I would be knocking on doors till my knuckles bled trying to find better ground. Im not accusing but many that say all they have is public ground is not trying hard enough finding other places. IMO It can be done finding other places if you work as hard as you do hunting trying to find it.

Here she is, the one and only ESCORT. She likes cold october afternoons, checking trail cams, cold old milwaukee lights and hauling big mature deer home from Iowa in her trunk. The best 2200 dollars I ever spent. Celebrities check there cams in bad boy buggies us normal hillbillies like to use the next best thing- an escort with 180000 miles but she gets 34 miles to the gallon boys. Frank and I will sell her with our signatures on the hood for 10000. Come and get her.
