Sadly pulling name out of contest...

I will sadly be pulling my name out of the 2013 bowhunting contest that was gonna be my first participation. My wife today presented me with divorce papers and I don't know how this is gonna affect my 2013 season and also since I have a small child who is soon to be 2 years of age I'm not sure how this is all to be played out yet. Of course hunting is to be put on the back burner for a while, so keep us in your thoughts and respectfully pull my name out of the pot for the 2013 teams.

 

Geez, so sorry to hear about that man. Just be the best dad you can and the rest will follow.

I'm sorry to hear that, I've been through a divorce myself. Just know you have friends here who have been down that road if you need a neutral ear to talk to. Stay strong brother!

 

I know that must be very tough. Hope it comes out on the better side of things. All that you can do is ask your wife if this is really what you want to do and pray to God that he will guide you both to a good decision.

 

Praying for ya man. I went through it last year. It does suck but keep your head up. Don't lose focus on being a good dad.

Man, that's tough. I've been there bro. Just remember your child an put your child first in all your decisions. Every thing you do think first. Think about the negative and positive affects on the kid. It gets rough along the way with emotions, tempers tend to run hot and things spew from lips like fire. Just stop and think before you react. I don't know your temperament but, it will all get tested in the near future so just think, pray and react after you cool down if you see yourself start getting angry. Whatever you do, be there for your child and pray brother!

Tough news to get. I remember my first wife telling me we weren't happy and then making sure of it. Hang in there and remember that your child is the most important person in your life so concentrate on keeping the stress of what is happening away from him/her. Have faith and lean on it, it helps.

 

So Sorry Bro! I do have some words for you! Be the best dad you can be. My daughters mom and I split before we knew she was pregnant. I made my promise to be the best dad I can be. I now have my daughter every day and I could not be any happier. It was tough for a while but it will all work out for ya trust me. Good luck and keep your head up.

Went through this last year bud..... NO easy way of dealing with it. If your as avid as I "WAS" then it'll be tough. You'll gain a whole new respect for your time afield. Keep your child #1 and if it limits you to 1 hunt a week then so be it. Your kid will always remember you for who you are and not who you should of been so keep hunting to a minimum like you've already stated. Hope all goes well, chin up!
