Just stay involved in your teams thread, if everyone is involved it can be a lot of fun. Especially when the deer start hitting the ground.
Yup ^^This^^ Try to keep your teams thread on the first page; even if you have not been out in a while you can still post about practice or whatever. Once teams are selected and guys start posting pics of their Hit List bucks… it really gets you fired up for the season. Also, exchange cell numbers with your teammates (via PM or whatever). Nothing turns around a crappy day at work like a “BBD” text from a teammate. Even a “Live from the stand” text with a picture can really get your heart pumping. Sure, it might make you a little jealous that you’re not out there, but it’s cool knowing that your teammate is in a tree and it gives you someone to root for. -D
This is my first year and I'm super excited! I always like sharing stories and getting tips and pointers from other hunters. I think its gonna be a great opportunity to learn some more about bowhunting.
Don't use a rifle;] Some good posts. Just stay involved and have some fun. I've been waiting all day for someone else to sign up. I can't sign up as # 226, that's my ex-wifes birthday and theres no way I'm putting that kind of jinx on my season.
don't take it seriously. If you find some one like Blood Crik to pick on, throw out some smack talk or bets to be paid off at next years' GTG.
I hope to get some more trail cams out this weekend. Can't wait to see whats running around this year.
Can I enter the doe I killed already this summer and any others I might kill this summer? Sent from my iPad Mini using Tapatalk Bows, Broadheads and Backstraps
You only get two deer for your score, second deer whether buck or anterless is only 50 points. Check out the rules posting again
Hi VaBowbender, I don't know if you'd doe would count until contest actually starts. I am not sure so ask Fitz
I hung two sets the other day when temps were in low 70. I made a mineral lick at each stand and placed 1 trail camera on only 1 stand.
Last year was my first year bowhunting and first year in the contest. I Failed to put one down but had a blast learning and interacting with my team. Just enjoy the experience.
