Road Soadies......

We have Brew-thrus near here in NC. Like a drive through convnience store but I'm pretty sure beer/alcohol is their best seller.

 

And I bet they sell the hell out of the 24 oz cans and singles like that

 

Every liquor store that I know of around here has a drive up window.

 

yeah I know liquor stores, but what about shops that sell frozen daiquiris in a foam cup and straw?

 

I wouldn't know where to buy a frozen daiquiri if my life depended on it, so I'm guessing no.

I can't remember drinking while driving, but I'm pretty bad about having road beers as the passenger.

Now driving the ranger around checkin cams and fishing in the summer? Cooler is riding shotty.

 

I clean all of our ditches twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall because we cut for hay. I picked them up on Monday and filled the back of my four wheeler trailer (3' wide, 4' long and 2' deep roughly) two times in roughly 2.5 mile stretch and keep in mind this is only one side of the road.

After cleaning ditches every year I just shake my head to myself at how the rest of society is. You name it i've probably found it in the ditches. From car parts to vacuum cleaners to condoms to food/drinks. Disgusting.

 

My comments were not directed at the act of drinking a few beers and then driving. I have done it in the past and will no doubt do it again. I have no qualms with that.

My comments were directed at the ridiculousness of this thread topic. Over the past two years this place has turned into a MySpace quiz center for the bromantically inclined. It's sad.

There's a easy fix to that, there's a little button in the right corner that says log out. Or simply don't comment on something that is below your intelligence leval. There's been several threads on here like "weekend beer line up or best craft beer, ect ect." How's any of them pressing news, you either choose to participate or not. Havent see many people being called stupid or a waste of time for that.

As for op question I took road soda to simply mean beer, thats a common nickname around here as well as couple others. We used to stop and have a couple on way home from long day working in summer heat. Never got carried away cause we usually have at least 30-45 min drive home on main highway. When it comes to hunting season tho a big group of us get together for shotgun season and go out in the morning until about lunch then usually start having a couple cold ones. Don't always make it out in the afternoon tho ha. I would kinda think that halfway common in some areas. As others have said tho if I'm driving I either have 2 or 3 or don't drink at all.

 

I take a beer on the golf cart and buzz around the campground, that's about it for me.
