That was the biggest reason I went from a pse to a Mathews. I just couldn't stand the grip. I tried wrapping it with para chord which helped a little but the wood grip on my zxt just feels perfect.

Deanh, what do you do in the military? I guess the biggest things that I'm looking for is weight, feel, adjustability and price. Just seems like PSE is right for me, right now. Maybe Mathews in the future...

So whatever new bow I get will definitely be an upgrade to the bow I'm using now. I'm once again running out of adjustment on my sights. I'm getting consistent groups at ten and fifteen yards but it seems to get worse the further I get out. Any suggestions would be a great help.

What does running out of adjustments mean? As for groups getting worse that just means you need to keep practicing!

I think he's in SF. Either that or he may be an SF Cook!

What kind of PSE you getting? I bought a PSE DNA because my friend is on their prostaff and can get me hooked up. Next year or hte year after though I may buy some used Mathews Creed and Prime Defy just to play around with. I did like both those bows.

Here's a couple of pictures of how my sight is sitting on my bow as of now sight 1.jpg sight 2.jpg sight 3.jpg sight 4.jpg

And then as far as practicing, do you have any recommendations?

chop, I was thinking the PSE Stinger for now, based on price. I want to at least draw it back and see how it feels before I make my final choice

I decided to put my single pin slider, kinda resembles the HHA sight, back on. I got thinking about it this last weekend and wanted to try it. I think that I'm going to run with that one on my current bow. I shot my best 30 yard group this weekend with it, and I don't know if you've read through this thread, but I was hitting crap at 30. I think that it comes down to the axle to axle length on my bow vs the length on the newer ones is why I was having such a hard time. Does that make sense to anyone?

How much is a stinger? You can get a 1 year old used bow for about 30-40% off the MSRP. And if youre in the Military PSE has a huge military discount.

The Stinger is $299 thru Cabela's. And I'm no longer active military, I don't know if that matters.

I'm FINALLY starting to save for my new rig. Got my raise this last week and that's made it easier for the pocketbooks to start putting some aside. I'll be rolling out of work early for an eye appointment, so hopefully, I can stop by the pro shop and draw back on some PSE's and commit to what I want. Based on our plan, I will hunt this year with my current set up and be able to pick up my new bow as this season's go on sale.

No new rig this weekend. The plan was to use the semi-annaul bonus from work to take a trip to Cabela's and get my Encounter. But I was informed this morning that due to a payroll issue, I won't see the bonus until the 5th. So, I'll have to order it that day and get it set up in a few weeks before my season opens..... AHHHH!!!!!

Thanks man! I'm pretty excited. Estimated delivery is Thursday, and if that's the case, it'll be a busy weekend.

    Congrats on the new bow.
Does Bass Pro warranty the bows they sell out their? I know that they don't here in Ontario. You have to send it to the manufacturer at your cost if their is an issue.

It's on the road from MO. Hopefully this is the long haul to NV

I'm not sure about Bass Pro's warranty. I'll have to ask
