Checking in. Had a flock of over 70 in a field on one of my farms the other day. Should be a great year.

Gotta admit. I also love chasing turkeys. I have hunted them in five states and have killed over 75 of them. The majority were with a shotgun, but I have killed quite a few with bow. It never gets old.

Your collection is great and will only get better. You have to remember that I have been doing this for 30 years. You will never forget the first bird you take with a bow. Then you will be hooked on bowhunting them. I still gun hunt them when I travel out of state, but at home I hunt them with bow.

Opening morning today. Had time for a three hour morning hunt. I saw 7 gobblers in two different set-ups. Had birds within 50 yards both times, but none would commit to the decoys. I had three hens out and may try a strutter or two on the next hunt. Hens are with them pretty bad right now. The weather is also miserable. Cold, windy, rainy.... But, I did get to watch bids strutting for nearly the entire hunt. That was fun.
Hey guys, hope its not to late to check in. Season started last Thursday for me and I couldn't get on one with the bow. I ended up shooting a Jake on Sunday with the gun. I have 3 more tags left and now that I broke the ice it will be strictly bow for me.
