5-6 times in HS 1-2 now. I haven't done any lifting in a while, going through Insanity for the second time and believe I could get at least one up may be 2
Now i could probably struggle one up, in my mid 20's I would do 3 sets of 6-8 at 225. I was 128 lbs when I graduated high school and probably could not bench my weight then.
You have more than that in ya, you have done 300+ and that equates to around 10 reps with 225. I have done 270 and that pretty much jives with 7-8 reps. Your holdin out

Zero, today, and Zero back in the day. I went to a football combine coming out of high school. We were put through all the measurable, and that info was reported to colleges for recruiting. I scored pretty well in every measurable for my category(D-Line & Linebackers), but when it came to bench press, I had to pull the old "nursing a shoulder" injury and declined to embarrass myself in front of a bunch of college coaches. I could squat and leg press most people out of the room, but bench press was never my friend.
Never have, don't know if I ever will be able to. Endurance conditioning is much more my focus than weight training right now as I'm trying to get in shape but I do some of both
Max doesn't always translate out to being able to pump out reps at lower weights. Of my gym buddies, I had the highest max by 40-50# and yet at that 225-245 range most all of them could pound out as many reps as me, if not 1-2 more.
