Lot of good that will do them when the Feds cut off all funding to their state. No state will be allowed to play by different rules. Fed funds for schools...gone. Fed funds for roads....gone. Fed funds for healthcare....gone. We have already given our government so much power that a wildcat cowboy move like this will never fly.

The state could in turn cut all federal tax payment from its citizenry. The trade off might not be equal but I am willing to bet the resourceful people of Wyoming could manage.

If more people thought like this we would be better off....

"I think that its necessary when the federal government violates our rights in the Constitution we have to act," he explained.

I'm glad to see some states stepping up and defending our constitutional rights, too bad the federal government continue to ignore those rights.

What right has been taken away? Nothing has been done yet, why don't we see what happens before the chicken starts to look up.

Anyone want to guess what state is second per capita in getting federal aid?

That would by Wyoming with 2010 data.

"Federal aid"=what a joke. How about give the states back some of their money and let them do as they please instead of the federal government thinking they can legally blackmail states into compliance with their demands. They do the legal blackmailing by threatening to cut off "federal aid". Give me a break. Give me back some of my money and reduce the size of the federal government.

How is it the states money? I thought it was the peoples money? I hope Obama tries it, because SCOTUS has already ruled on the Second Amedment, so if he tries the excutive order, I bet it gets shot down by SCOTUS. Which is a good thing.

It is the peoples money.............however, you would need to give a portion of it back to the states in order for them to care for things such as infrastructure.

Living in IL I can say with absolute certainty something like this will never happen here. Would be great if somehow we could get a super majority with state counts for something like this. Sadly if enough states were to do it I believe we would see the beginning of the next civil war.

It will be interesting how this plays out.

Edit, it would be great to see a super majority able to overthrow such laws, not to start the next civil war.

Great point, but states like Wyoming do not have enough tax money to do those things apparently. They are taking in way more than they are paying. So would rasising taxes in these states fly? I do to know.

My issue is with their right hand these states are saying, no we are not going to follow the laws of the federal gov, and with their left they are taking the money.

    The entire system is whacked.

    Allowed? Funny
No they will exercise their Constitutional sovereignty. Yes, they will probably lose funds. Let's see no more money for communist run school systems... okay. Mandated healthcare that few want... aww shucks... Not a bad idea in my opinion and others will likely follow. Besides there's no real money anyway... As Conway Twitty sang "It's only make believe."
