Man, I can't believe this december has been so mild! We've gotten next to no snow. I think total we've maybe seen 1/2 an inch! It was 51 yesterday! Anyone lucky enough to be hunting in the snow? Do you guys like hunting in the snow?

It snowed once in November where I hunt but by the time I got up there it was 99% melted.

in MN hunting in snow is usually something to count on and its awesome, the deer stick out better, blood is easy to see and you can get in and out easy with much less noise

Spotting deer is definately much easier with snow. They stick out like a turd in a punch bowl.

Just took this out from front door. It looks like this and it will be over a foot higher by this time tomorrow.

Just a couple inches during 2 days of the WI gun season. After todays blizzard though the snow will be staying.

We've had spotty snow cover since mid November and solid cover since for a few weeks now. Love it!

Now that the Ice has a good start, I'm waiting for a huge storm!

    .... still waiting....

It's snowing pretty decent here, so looks like this weekend will be good final shotgun hunt.

I am in the Hudson Valley of New York ( 90 miles north of NYC). This is the first year I can remember that we got no snow during hunting season ( I'm 56 yrs. old). Our season started on Oct. 1 for bow and late bow/ muzzleloader just ended Dec. 18. In early Nov. we had a dusting, but it melted as fast as it fell. Tracking a deer on red and brown leaves is a challenge.

I picked the 'I hate snow' which isn't really true... but I do hate cold. I lived in ND, WI and Chicago... I've had my fill.

However, if it's going to be cold, there might as well be some snow. I do like hunting in snow. (but I'd rather be hunting in 40 degree temps....)

We had a good 3 inches in mid november but it didn't stay. They are calling for a good blast starting anytime. :jerry:

Looks like this storm will only be bringing rain for MA. Sucks, I miss being able to still hunt with my muzzleloader. Now I walk in and it's just CRUNCH CRUNCH! So I sit ASAP. Lame. Atleast the rain will be good for a silent still hunt.
