Saw the 1st shooter buck of the season last sat. he was 20 yards away but never came into the clearing.

Im around just busy with work, school, baby, and hunting. Might get out tomorrow for the last time before shotgun season starts. Then Ill be back in the woods mid December. Been seeing good bucks every sit just cant get them to come in.
How's everyone making out? Im looking forward to the POST rut here in MD & WV. Spotted a big 8 point last saturday eveing chasing doe's. Now if we could get the cold weather to stay here i would be doing great.
SOrry I have not been very active been very busy as of late! The gun seasons have finally wrapped up here in WI and I have not punched any of my buck tags yet! I did pull cards today and found the buck Ive been after made it through the firearm seasons and Im pumped to get after him late season!
The deer movement has been picking up the last day or so, saw 5 bucks last night. 2 little ones and a really big bodied deer( probly a buck) this morn. Also saw 8 coyotes this morn, the neighbors shot 4 during rifle season last month but theres still alot around.
Well I didn't get anything during bow season but I shot a big ol 6pt in gun season, my biggest buck to date! Saw him chase a doe into thick brush, got all mad because I thought I lost my chance. Popped a couple of grunts and sat back down, a minute later her popped his head out and I let my .308 Savage do it's job! Wish I could have brought some points to the team but my hunting season is pretty much over for me. View attachment 25010
Congrats on the buck. I dropped my bow from the treestand. It still shot fine but I noticed one of the limbs layers was starting to split. Hoyt is taking care of it. I just hope to get it back before Christmas. Our season goes out on Jan 1.
