    Unless it's six yards:tu: Had one do it 5+ times this year. 340" 7x7. Seriously one of my best experiences in the elk woods ever.

    Goldtip kinetic XT 405 grain at 269fps.

    this thread helped me out ill be shooting a 450 grain arrow with the hell razors and a 26.5DL and 60#. If i ever get out to hunt elk how does this set up sound?

    Ramcats been my go to fixed blade head. Used the 100gr on my last two elk trips. I also took them with me when I hunted moose and woodland Bou in New Foundland. They been far and away the best penetrating head I used in 23 years of bowhunting. Amazing thing is they have huge cutting diameter and yet they still out penetrate most Broadheads.

    You have a heavy enough arrow you should be fine. shot placement is everything. Watch out for the front shoulder. That bone is heavy and very few can shoot thru it. Double lung them and you will do fine.

    Alright thanks for the feedback. Im not sure when ill be able to get out on an elk hunt but its nice to know that i have a set up that could get the job done. Nice animals by the way very nice. :tu:
