Guys I had a great encounter t.his morning with 2 4 yr old deer. They were on a trail 60 yards from the stand. First one was a 140 9 point I got lots of pics of . The second one was 150 inch 11 point I haven't seen before. Both on a mission and had their heads down. Tried to grunt and rattle a little. No effect on the first one but the second paused for a moment. I had a couple of does go thru 1 hour before on that same trail.definitely getting some more daytime movement on the bucks the last few days. Good luck guys.

Currently in the middle of my last night shift for the week. Then I'm off for 19 days yeah buddy!!! I'm hitting the woods hard everday until i kill! Oly good luck man.. things have been moving last couple mornings for me. Jeff, im hunting in Illinois not from the indiana line. Had high 130- low 140 come close today. Mature deer but didn't give me a shot. That's 3 great deer in 2 morning sits with zero shot opportunities. Momma does are getting rid of their button bucks last night as well. Ill be heading out bright and early tomorrow morning. should be completely set up by 630. maybe earlier depending on how well i can find my tree in the dark. i plan on sitting all day. i just wish i had my deer back so i could eat my jerky in the stand do you guys have any tips for sitting all day. this will be my first time sitting all day so I'm not sure what to expect.
Just a quick post to let you guys know that I put a nice one down. Long but good story to follow. I have not measured him yet but he should easily make the mid 160's. I still have another buck tag and trapping season opens tomorrow so it may be a while before I can get a chance to post up pics and the story but wanted everyone on the team to know first. Didn't see much yeaterday. Rained a lot. Out this morning. Day light savings got me. Got in late but a good wind and a nice frost. Hearing an eagle screech in the am will get the blood moving
