Took Friday off work so gonna check my cameras @ both spots (they are 50 miles apart) & move a stand @ 1 spot & put up a new stand @ the other. Pheasant opener is Saturday so I won't be bowhunting this weekend.
Got a bunch more picks of some shooter bucks & managed to fall about 12' while putting up a ladder stand. Walked away unscathed other than some bumps & bruises but sure scared the crap out me.
No school Monday, I plan on being in the woods somewhere Have a doctors appointment Tuesday morning and then it's off to the woods again that afternoon. Don
I had a monster shot on the land i hunt but not by me a guy we hunt with about 150 yards from me but the pic wont upload for some reason
with the one inch tines on the brows it comes out to be an 18 pointer but you have to love these wisconsin deer!!
Thats a good looking buck Huntalot and a great buck Bow Hunter beck. Yesterday i went out for my first sit and it was great. The morning started off horrible because i left my trail cams on standby so no pics for 2 weeks . Well i got up in the stand and started talking with my dad and all of a sudden i hear running behind me. I look back and i see a some turkeys running toward me. I get my bow ready as they came to about 10 yards from my stand and just as one was busting me i took her down. This is the first shot time i ever shot a turkey! After some pics some cleaning and a break i got back to hunting. After a couple hours a small buck came down the trail i was hoping and bedded down about 40 yards away from me. He later moved off as a doe and 2 fawns that i watched for 3 years moved into a field about 40-50 yards away from my stand. I watched them for a couple hours through the woods but then 2 bucks entered the field. They started to sparr for 30 min and they all got spooked by something. A single doe made it to about 12 yards but after a short talk with my father about weather or not to shoot the doe went down wind and made that decision for me. All in all i saw 3 bucks 3 does and 4 turkeys yesterday. My next time out is going to be Sunday which hopefully i can put a doe down.
i had a pretty crazy night last night saw about 10 does witch is the most deer ive ever seen on a stand none of witch gave me a shot had a few within 20 yards but things didnt work out. Going out tonight again there will be a little rain but it should still be a good night

Anybody do any hunting this weekend? I wont be getting out until mid afternoon Nov.3...sucks i know but it is what it is.
I hunted this evening & got to my stand around 3:45 & started seeing deer around 4:00. Saw deer non stop until dark. Had a decent 8 pointer @ 11 yards for 7 minutes. I hope I don't regret not shooting him. Probably saw 50 deer total. Have a full week of work then 11 days off to hunt!
