If I knew that the other hunters around me would let him go I would too but since I know they will not he is a goner if he comes by. I really want the second one.

Well I went out this morning and what a morning it was. I had an 8 pointer at 40 but was in the thicker stuff on the edge of the woods. I did not get a shot and he trotted away. I then had a doe with two yearlings out in the grass. One yearling was running around like a chicken with its head cut off and then he ended up walking by me to catch up with the others. He was out of breath and still had faint spots along the spine on both sides.

Yea I'm in the same boat...I hunt on my friends dad's land he wants to shoot big ones...but when gun comes around he lets other people in his hunting group shoot the lil ones ..i had a 8 point buck under my stand this morning he was licking it...but turned it down to follow his rules..in my opinion if he tries to get deer bigger he should let lil ones go for bow n gun ...it just don't make any sense..what is you

Went out this evening with my buddies grandson. He ended up seeing some does and yearlings before I did across the field. They never got to us. We then saw two on the way out. Here are pictures of his first ever hunt.

I love my HD Max. How old do you think he is? I was in the tree as he walked by at 5 yards. I want him to grow some more.

He's a little guy, don't get me wrong he's nice but there are alot biggers one around here. Just waiting for the rut to start and I'll get his daddy. The homeowner told me that a 18 pointer and a big 8 pointer have been around but I haven't seen them or got them on trailcam. :sheep:

Well, I will be hitting the woods for a short hunt in the morning. Then off to a MRI on my right wrist. I hurt it back in the fall of last year. I thought I broke it then and went in for x rays. It was not broke they said but they said I probably bruised a tendon or ligament and would take 4 months to feel better. I waited the four months and it started to feel better but then still bothered me on occasion and the lump was still on wrist. I scheduled one of my yearly physicals and then told doc that I was still having issues every now and then on my wrist. He looked at it and said that he was referring me to a specialist. I saw the same doc that did my knee and he came in and I showed him. He knew right away what I did. He then said "Dude" and shook his head. I go in for an MRI tomorrow and then follow up appointment Friday. I have a gut feeling a surgery is in my future! I am going to be my stubborn self though and tell Doc that he will have to wait until Jan so I can get my hunting in and get my bonus time off for not using any sick days at work so far this year. I hope that I can hold him off. LOL I have dealt with it this long I think I can make it a few more months. Doc thinks it is a torn inner tendon between my two forearm bones at the wrist. The bone has been sticking up a little higher than normal but I am tough I can take it. LOL All I have to say is.......I am on vacation for three weeks and TO THE HUNT!!!!!
