Wow, you guys have some studs lined up. Good luck with them!

I probably won't be hunting much early on, lack of vacation time at work has me needing to work as much as I can early on so I can try to hit it hard Halloween trough mid-November. The land I hunt is thick with deer, can probably count on one hand all the sits I've had without seeing a deer. Most sits I'll see anywhere from 5 up into the teens. Come rut time when the bucks start to cruise it gets exciting. I see a good one every year, last year it played out in my favor. That gives me a lot of confidence going into this season, knowing that patience does pay off. Hoping to make this the first year I put two deer on the board.

I'll be posting updates of hunts and such, but most of my posting will probably be in the "Live from the stand" thread when it opens up. Hopefully I can get a bit better video this year. With the drought ongoing, crops should be out and leaves should fall earlier

The Dirty dozen gets my vote! Hey fellas, glad to be on your team. Bruce Severson AK (BShunter) checking in from S IA. I am Jacked about season this year. I have about 5 definate shooters this year by my standards. The BIG boned 8 is top on my list however the others are nothing to turn my nose up at. I look forward to hearing your stories and seeing your pictures. With this team we should do well.
I would suggest Fritz be our captain as he is the man!

I too like the Dirty Dozen best.

My vote for captain in Finch, because I know he's on here as much as me when he's not on vacation :tu: Thanks for the vote Bruce, but like I said earlier, I'd like someone else to be capt.

I think Finch would make a great captian, he gets my vote.

I have a few bucks on my list this year. This is #1, he doesnt have a name but he is a 5 year old public land buck this year. My hunting partner and I will both be after him. I would rather see my friend kill him, but if he walks by me, he's going down, lol.

    The buck...and his bed.

    Hey guys just checking in.

I'm cool with whoever for captain and I vote for Dirty Dozen for the team name.

I'm after some pretty good bucks this year. I'll be hunting in PA and MD mostly and spending a week in IL in the second week of November. So hopefully I can put something decent down this year.

Here is a 12 pt. I am after. This is one of 5 shooters I have my eye on.... He is so boring because of how clean he is, but he would do.... :)

Dirty Dozen Gets my vote. That's a heck of a deer Gri22ly. If you know where he beds you can kill him!

I like Dirty Dozen as well, and if Finch is good with it nominate him as well.

I had good idea where he was bedding on N, NE, E winds....But didnt know for sure, so I went in and bumped him out of that bed late last year. Got a real good look at him and how he comes and goes. My tree and entrance are picked, now I just need the right wind 3rd, 4th week of Oct.

One thing to think about guys, the winning team only shot 6 bucks last year.... I think we have a good shot :tu:

Especially with the quality of bucks in these picks!

Does are the key. If we can get 400-500 points off slickheads, we'll be sitting pretty.

My prowess may not help you much, lol.....but I bet my public land would.
