yes it does or one of the 2 8s that i saw at the new place last night they were nice bucks and i should at least be a nice doe

 

Holy crap dbl lung those are freaking insane. You down one of those dudes and we win. I am pretty sure the August one is the widest deer I've seen.

 

them are nice dbl lung... i have a buck thats about like that up in wis and this weekend im going up there so maybe i can get a pic of them from my ground blind

 

dbl lung are you really thinking about shooting those? That one could use a few more inches of spread.... You won't have to worry about finding that one laying in the dirt as it will practically be at eye level!

I can just see myself saying now this year when I shoot a deer, "And.....take a NAP!" haha! I knew dbl lung takes nice bucks, but dang those are big...we're shaping up to be a heck of a team!

Tyni, how similar is Bill Vale's book to some of John Eberhart's? If you have read them? I guess it would be interesting to hear a similar topic told from a different point of view. Gotta keep the thinking cap working you know

Haven't read Eberhart's yet, but your not the first guy to mention it to me so I have a feeling once I get through Bill's for the second time (hopefully absorb more) I might just pick Eberhart's up to compare.

Stand time is my time. I love the hunting season for multiple reasons, but one of the biggest is so that I can unwind and do some thinking. I always take a small journal and my Bible with me.

 

do u guy go sit in your stand and do some scouting around this time of the year or would it be to late
