I wanna know what your thoughts are on the nufletch archery fletching set up. Has any one out there used them and noticed a difference in arrow flight good or bad?

I'm interested as well. Their website basically says you dont have to worry about FOC. I found a video where a shop was setting a guy up for an African hunt and they added weight to get the FOC to 10. I think his arrows ended up around 800 grains.

IMO you are adding waaaaaaay too much weight to the WRONG end of the arrow. You are not only taking away from FOC which is directly related to momentum and penetration but also you are stiffening the arrow therefore you would need to use arrows like 3 inches longer or go to the next weakest spine rating size shaft (example, if you now shoot a 29" .350 spine arrow you would need to go up to the .400 spine arrows) The Nufletch is a good idea for people who dont like to fletch or dont know how or dont want to pay a shop to do it but I think there are way too many downsides to this. I would sooner shoot FOBS than this Nufletch system.

Do you have actual field experience with them? I'd like to hear from people with actual field experience. You know what they say about opinions?!?

I do have some field experience and some of my shooters have tested them out as well.

Re-inventing the wheel if you ask me. I see no reason to use these when you can fletch your own arrows for less money.

Agreed with the adding way to much weight to the wrong end of the arrow

Ya there really is no advantage to them when it is cheaper to fletch with regular vanes and glue

so...unlike the quick fletch that shrink wrap on the shaft, they screw into the end and make the arrow shaft longer/heavier?

They screw in Yes. They make the arrow heavier Yes. You cut 2 3/4" off your arrow to install them to keep the overall length the same.

so 2 and 3/4 inches of all arrow shafts weighs exactly the same as the nufletch inserts?

Did I see $33 as a price? is that for 3 or 6 or how many? They look sharp!

No the total weight added will vary depending on your arrows. For example (and I'll post exact info after testing), my arrows are 10.2 grains per inch. So I have removed 28 grains from my arrow. I have the Nufletch light because my arrows are smaller diameter (Easton Full Metal Jackets 400 spine). It is suppose to weigh 57 grains with vanes. My Easton insert is 8 grains. Removed 28 added 65 for a total of 37 grains.

To compare, a Lumenok weighs adds 22-23 grains. I have lumenoks and they group right with my regular arrows out to 60 yards.

You are also stiffening the spine of your arrow with Nufletch.

I am interested in it because I am currently draw weight limited by my arrows (400 spine). My bow is capable of 74#'s but set on the max that the arrows can handle at 66#'s. I have a slew of FMJ 400's so this would be cheaper option than buying all new arrows. If they work.

believe it or not, I am fallowing all of this. I shoot 340-350's because my bow is at 70#

I have no idea what my options are. I have some Beman, Carbon Express and some Easton in both Carbon and Aluminum. Most have to be refletched. I was thinking of the Nap shrink wrapping, but maybe this is a better option...I have no idea?
