I was checking out their website the other day and loaded up my "cart" with goodies but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Does anyone use Predator Camo? Any pro's or con's?
I just bought some yesterday myself. Whenever I see someone wearing it I think it just looks great. I'd like to see scent blocker use the patterns.
You will probably find good support for it around here. I like it myself although I don't own a ton, only because I have lots of very functional camo & don't need anymore. But I have seen it out in the field and saw how nicely it blends in
My wife bought me some fall gray fleece for Christmas. Looks like it will blend in very well during the later season. I'm thinking of getting a pattern with a little more browns and greens for earlier in the year. Blessings.......Pastorjim
Hey PastorJim, Is it warm enough for the late Indiana archery season? (exclude this year when you could have worn shorts and a T shrit)
I wear Fall Gray year around. Dont know what kind of temps you will get into, but the fleece outfit is amazing when temps start to drop!! Love the stuff!!!!!!!!!!!
I made the switch two seasons and haven't looked back since awsome stuff. I've had more animals look right through me than ever before. Turkeys, coyotes, and a buck this year at 7 yards. The fleece is warm I layer up with s3 merino wool almost all season except the when temps are 20 and under then I pull out my predator heater body suit. And of course if you are looking for the finest predator gear IMHO look at gray wolf woolens. I add a piece or two every season but the stuff last for ever and if you go with the outfitter line made to your size and specs with whatever you want as far as pockets, linings, hoods, and fabric.
FALL GRAY is the best bowhunting pattern available - PERIOD! The stuff works, it's not just a bunch of marketing and advertising crap!
I just checked out the grey wolf woolens. Yeah, too rich for my blood. Right now anyways. Now I do really like the grays in the Predator line. I went with some Mossy Oak Break-up-Infinity this yeah and really felt good about it. Until I climbed my first tree. Not a good feeling when you climb into a tree and realize your camo doesn't blend in with the tree at all. The bark on our trees here is more of a gray so my dark heavy colored greens, browns, goldish yellows and blacks didn't do much in the way of confidence. I am wanting to get my hands on some of the Predator Camgrayey for next season. IMO, I believe it would be a great pattern.
I actually liked what I saw on the site...which for me is rare...I've fallen head over heels for Naturalgear, if I ever switch though the Grey line from Predator attracted me the most.
I really like the stuff I have from Gray Wolf Woolens, it is pricey but last a long time. My light wool outfit is 17 years old and is still in great shape.
Some of their patterns I'd say I'd put it on par with stuff like Naturalgear...I do feel at times you can get too filled with lines and such that from a distance you are darker than everything else around you. That said like I stated if I ever stopped buying Ngear or they went out of business I feel Predator does just as good of a job with some of their patterns for sure! Can't go wrong with either!
I never did get to wear it. I went a few times after Christmas but I just went ahead and wore the stuff I had worn most of the season. But you're right, I could have worn shorts and a t-shirt a couple of times. The stuff feels pretty thick though. Blessings......Pastorjim
Don't leave home without it in the early season ....plan on getting some fall gray for next year aswell. Opening day of 2011 archery... Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
I use the Fall Grey for mid to late season and Ultimate Camo for early season. Here's a link to some Predator http://www.predatorcamo.com/
