beautiful 8! "Can't kill em if your not in a tree," whoever came up with that saying left out the "you can't kill em if your in the tree either." Its like the older more mature bucks, as the one pictured, have a 6th sense that lets em know when theres no hunters in the woods. I guess thats why we love the chase so much, and the big ones get bigger each year. good luck, I hope you put a tag on that brute.

I feel ya same thing happened to me a 10 pt 5 yards from the stand when i decided to sit in the woods instead of the creek stand for like the first timein a week .

 

I hunted and saw 8 does and no bucks.........

this year i had a stand i normally hunt in the afternoon and instead i changed my mind and decided to hunt one of my morning stands. well little did i know my neighbor who also hunts the property saw 1 170" 12 point i had been after 20 yards from my stand. talk about heart broken.
