Yes, if nothing else, bring your hunter ed paperwork with you when you come. You will need to have it in your possession while in the feild anyway. We can stop at Bass Pro or any license vendor to purchase tags once you're here. We can also go directly to the CDOW office.

Mark, the best way to hunt a bear is to shoot your elk and then hang around the carcass. He'll show up, I promise. The second best way is to hang around someone else's carcass. I have had bear walk up to me while spot and stalking, it does happen. I have seen the most bears on the south facing hillside north of Homestake road. It's best to hunt there in the evening. We may end up having one near camp....honey smeared on your cot or stevie's cot should do the trick. You just tell the CDOW officer that you spilled the bottle when you were having a spot of tea. LOL...

This is going to be fun!

Will, is there a good head of bear or lots of sign in the area? looking forward to trying to bag another.

Dave I will be either using my trusty SlickTricks or the Grimreaper razortips, we'll see how I feel the week before we fly out.

This truly did make me laugh out loud...Dang Right we're going to have FUN!

For you Mighty Bear Hunters...I am going to do my D@mndest to have an Elk carcass for you early on...I want to see a bear dragged into camp! (and a muley for that matter)

    Dave - 100gr Muzzy's here.

Will...I'll be in your neck of the woods this Sunday...I'll phone you mid-morning when I have a better idea on times. No doubt your mind will be on Africa...if something works out for us, cool, if not...see ya at camp.

...See the rest of you boys at Camp Castonies!

When I used to shoot compounds Rage 2 blade are all I shot. Shot deer, goats, foxes, cats and even rabbits with them. Very good head. I could easily resharpen the blades with a pair of pointy nose pliers and a fine diamond file.

Sure, sounds good to me!!! I've had a few blackies with In a foot of me up In the tree.

I'm just as excited about the bear hunt In Colorado as the elk hunt now. It can't get here quick enough!!!

:nana::nana::nana:I am back in! I had a long talk with my wife last night. She learned yesterday that she is going back to full time hours and full time pay. So, I have a couple of months to get it together. I CAN and will swing this. My boss approved the vacation time this morning so there is nothing else holding me back. See y'all in september!:nana::nana::nana:
