A lot of movement on my cameras. Hunting tomorrow hopefully put one down.

I shot a buck nothing too big but high entry arrow didn’t pass thru very worried about finding him he ran about 15 yards then walked very slowly stopping every few steps looked to be hurting but not very confident

Sounds like gut and/or liver. Give him 8 hours before looking, he will bed close if not bumped. Time is your friend. Get a tracking dog if legal. Good luck!

No luck finding him tracked him just over 600 yards to first bed very little blood in it I think I just hit him to high i really need to practice slowing down when I see a deer and quit rushing everything in new better than to hold mid body

It happens man. We've all done it. Don't beat yourself up on it. You definitely did all you could. You just know better for next time.

Just want to wish everyone getting out this weekend good luck!

I'll be out tomorrow morning but I'll be toting my crossbow with me. Been pretty sick all week but I definitely don't want to pass up tomorrow. It's my favorite day of the year to hunt.

That's a bummer. Happens to all of us if you've hunted long enough. Keep after em.

I struggle with the same. Don’t slow don’t and don’t aim low enough. Usually miss over the back. Sounds like you put the effort in and good chance he will live.

My plan to hunt all day changed. Sick wife and sick kids. Currently at urgent care with one of them. Planning on getting out around noon or so still. Anytime in the tree this time of year can be good.

    Than
Thanks, son has ear infection and bronchitis. Got some meds for him so he’s on the mend.

I did get a chance to get out yesterday. Got in tree about 2. Had lone deer that I thought was a button at first bed about 45 yds away in thick stuff. Decent sized body for the shorter snout it had. In got up and milled around but didn’t come close enough to verify if button. Had a small buck come and pusher it around so now pretty confident it was a doe. Maybe 1 1/2 with body size. Just strange she was alone unless moms out with her boyfriend. Had a bother deer running around close to dark a little farther out. Then heard grunting right at end of legal in same direction. No real deep so likely younger buck. Good sit for the first one of the year. Plan on getting out next Saturday morning at least if not all day. That is if I can keep from getting the sickness others have in my family.
