And there goes the neighborhood....... Checking in from IL. Wish I had the confidence I've had in the past but after losing a honey hole I'm relegated to mostly public land but have a couple invites for some private hunts. Also should be finding out in the next week or two whether I was drawn for local deer thinning efforts on non hunting sites where the deer densities are too high. Nice to see we have a lot of seasoned members on the team. Then there's Tony............. Already ruffling feathers and stirring the pot

Logman (Logan) checking in from IL. I'm 38, a neonatal nurse practitioner. I'll be hunting private land. I like this contest for the camaraderie. I like seeing pics of deer, stand set ups, plots, etc, but the best is seeing a teammate connect with a deer! If you like it, shoot it. No judgment here. It's all about having fun! My dad and brother in law are also in the contest. Name ideas: Drop tine nine Nine of your business Nine inch tines Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
@Logman, I'm in Springfield(Sangamon). Will be hunting Sangamon(private), Christian(private) and Cass(public) this year. Mostly Cass being public, other hunts are more hit and miss dependant on the invitee.
My name is Ben and I am from Alabama and I hunt public land and it should be a great season starting out September 16 on a bear and buck hunt in Tennessee on South Cherokee management area.Alabama deer season starts October 15
Get it! Being down in Alabama you have a later rut as well, if needed. Good luck on the bear as well!
Morning gentleman, it feels good to get the ball rolling! Glad to see some familiar names and excited to get to know those I haven’t been on a team with Mitch here from SW Michigan. Not retired, just tired. I don’t want to jinx it but since I believe 2017, I have recorded both a buck and a doe scoring between 150 and 192 points so I’m going to do my best to continue the streak. I’ve got a handful or private permission pieces that I hunt, anywhere from 10 to 150 acres in size. I’ll also be spending 8 days in NE Missouri near the end of October. Season here starts October 1, but we have an early doe season September 16-17 that I’m going to try to get out for at least a sit or 2 if it’s not too ridiculously warm. Team names The Unwritten Chapter 9 Team 3 Squared If it goes for a vote I’m a yes for the top vote. Let’s get after it! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
As of right now here’s the biggest deer that I have on camera. I’ve got 2 other camera out over known scrape trees that I haven’t checked yet and probably won’t for another few weeks and that will be the only time I go in other then when I go in to hunt a spot.
