Even though it's a bit earlier than last year, someone asked so here it is folks. It was a great season last year and I'm looking forward to another one. I only have two cameras out on my little property here in the Missouri Ozarks and I've gotten quite a few pics but only one buck and he doesn't appear to be very old. Lots of doe pics and I finally got my first fawn pic a few days ago. The bucks usually start showing themselves on my place sometime in June-July but it never really matters because they always vanish the week before season opens. Maybe I should try the grape jello trick.
I am excited for this year. Cameras are soaking for another month or so and I'll check the cards. Labor Day early season ND hunt happening again this year.
Hey Chief Hope the winter treated you well. My cameras are showing promise & the bucks are starting to develop Daughter got married last month (had no idea of the cost involved) but it was all good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Brett. We don’t really have winter here. Just a couple of cold snaps that separate hunting season and fishing season.
Got 2 plots planted with pumpkins last weekend. Got one more plot to plant but ran out of seeds. Will try to get that done this weekend. This heat we've had for the past 2 weeks make me not even wanna THINK about deer hunting but I know in 4 months ,all the sweat/hard work will be a blessing.
I threw some corn out back and put a water bucket out, figuring mama bedded close by. I was grilling dinner tonight and this one strolled into about 10 yds...
Got 200 more pumpkins planted today. Was actually pleasant temp wise. Now, it's just a waiting game untill about July 25ish when I plant brassica. Been kinda lucky and have hit a few good rains the past 2 weeks. Have mentioned many times about how great pumpkins are for food plots but seems no one is interested.
I just picked up a new lease as of this morning! Will be fun to hunt a new property. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
