Got a call today from an individual with the Louisiana DEQ, he asked me to come down and present with him at their spring confrence. They will be putting out new compliance guidelines. He wants me to speak about keeping your pumping system running to insure that landfills are not out of compliance. Honored that he called me and my company. headed to the Cajun Dome in March. My life is garbage.

Took a quick hike with A. J. Tons of tracks on the Gator tracks, fox, yotes and deer. .
2 mega deer made it through season. Huge splade 4 finger wide tracks. Crazy long walking stride.one isn't splade but long and wide with fat back "pads" Coming through 2 different areas.
I need to get new cell cam out....once I figure it out...

It went from 23 below at 10 pm tonight to a balmy 15 below now. No wind so I step outside to peek at the deer. 4 deer laying in the neighbor's yard about 50 yards away. 1 big doe in mine munching on the bushes 30 yards away from me. None of them paid any attention to me standing on the porch watching them.

4 nights ago, there were 3 bucks and 4 doe/fawns in the neighbor's yard in the same spot. A nice 5x5 still carrying both sides. 2 young bucks that had both lost a side. I had 2 doe in mine eating on the same bushes. None of them had a care about me watching them. I really enjoy this.

As I was watching them, I thought about what one of my neighbors always said to me. Really nice old guy and a great neighbor. He has been dead now for a few years. He would say, " Tim, I don't know why you go out in the country to hunt deer with your bow. You could kill them here and never leave your or my yard. Then the d@mn things wouldn't be eating my wife's flowers and cr@pping in my yard!!! ".

    RIP Lawrence

Being a grandparent vs being a parent. My daughter gets pictures and videos from day care. All week she has been getting videos of the youngest walking at day care, even walking and carrying stuff. Kids gets home and acts like he has no idea how to walk, refuses to even try.

Drive is clean again. Took longer today, slipped 3 times only fell once with a pro recovery on way down. Winds so bad that at the road a gust literally blew my snow goggles and hat off. I turned my back and the shovel was waving at the end of my hand chest high like a flag in the wind

Tickets to Aladdin on Broadway for my wife's Christmas present: $185
    Dinner before show: $75
    Parking $10
Total Cost for date night: $270

Hearing my wife say, "Go hunting every weekend until season ends, we need more meat," knowing she means deer hunting in addition to the goose hunt I have booked for Friday this week: PRICELESS

For every day expenses there is cash, for unlimited hunting, there is the happy wife.

Local Baja-style Mexican place. It was her call. I did take to a fancy hotel bar afterwards for dessert. Two slices of German Bourbon Cake set me back $35. Forgot to add that price.

I should clarify that it was the touring broadway production. Not literally on Broadway. It came to Little Rock. No way I would waste good time and money visiting NYC. I hate big cities.

Wish I could post pictures, kids took delivery of their new tractor and manure spreader. Had to have the full cab, Landon is going to spend alot of hours in that cab, spreading bullshit.

My almost 3yo son was diagnosed with moderate autism yesterday. We kind of knew but the official diagnosis is still a punch in the gut. He is way behind where my daughters were at his age. The thing about it is, i wouldnt change him for anything. I love the hell out of him the way he is. I know there will be challenges and hard days but we will take them one day at a time. Love this little guy. EE50AC36-57CB-4AA4-B467-33DB6CD644E0.jpeg
