For me it's multiple things going on. One is my bow and it's not very forgiving. If my form is off, my bow will let me know. Second I hurt my shoulder sometime over the last year. It's slowly getting better. I re injured it multiple times over past year. Mostly with splitting wood and work. But it did go one time while I was shooting. So I don't shoot nearly as much because of fear of hurting my shoulder. It only hurts when I draw, not when holding it back. My goal was to hunt with my longbow, but with no let off, it's been painful. So it has me looking for a new longbow in less weight right now.

I shot one last February just for kicks. Immediately regretted it because I didn't have the $1800 it would have cost to buy and build it out the way I wanted it.

Dampener clad matthews bows LOL ! I had the drenalin also and to me it is a very different bow. To me Ever since the Z7 matthews risers have had a bit more reflex so they seem to wobble more when coming to full draw. All bows wobble a bit but matthews seem to be worse, at least for me. And while at full draw if you move your hand slightly it will move very easily. Watch a few YouTube videos and you should see what I’m talking about.
They are still a good bow and shoot well, just not for me in hunting situations.

Did I mention that I hate waiting? I'm hoping this is the week she gets delivered. Spent yesterday resharpening broad heads to put away, cleaning up my bow and gear, put some wax on strings. BTW, the last slicktrick I put through my buck had a couple nicks that buffed out and it is ready to kill again. This post season blues is in full swing for me.

Well after almost 11 weeks, my bow is at the shop. I am headed up there tonight to hug it and squeeze it and make it my very own.

    That thing looks awesome!

I got the go ahead from the wife to buy a new bow. So now the fun part of which one! First one I want to try is the Bowtech SS34.

I don't think you can go wrong these days with most of the big names. Shoot a bunch of em and have fun with it.

Did you get the triple stack sight pins?

That was one I was interested in. I don't like adjusting a sight during hunting, but would like to have the ability while practicing. I never shoot over 40, so 3 pins is all I need.

I haven't put it to any real practice, but on the tape, my second pin marker is sitting at roughly 34 with top pin set to 20. I had to shoot at 60 for an accurate tape and who knows if it is true by the way I shot at 60. Just terrible. I was tired by that point. Haven't shot much, ashamed to say.

With the 2 pin, you can't move the 2nd pin? I saw that you can move all 3 pins on the triple stack. I didn't read much about the 2 pin. Most likely that's all I would need.
